About Me:
Born in Austin, Tx. and raised in Waco and San Antonio, Tx. Chrissy Flatt’s influences range from Buddy Holly & Loretta Lynne to the Rolling Stones & The Ronettes while the music she writes and plays has been compared to earlier period Lucinda Williams and more recently Aimee Mann. In 2002 she released her debut “Wings of a Butterfly” which was well-received by the press and fans alike. Her second release, “Walk With Kings” is built on a foundation of ’60s rock’n’roll essentials, framed by rootsy sensibilities and dressed with tasteful orchestrations. Tom Semioli of Amplifier magazine says she is" romantically inclined and decidedly rootsy...she does approach her art with a classic 60's Greenwich Village singer-song-writer aesthetic that is pleasing, effective and ultimately refreshing." She's received press from Magnet Magazine, Pop Culture Press, The Austin Chronicle, Texas Music, and the Nashville Rage among others. Currently she is writing and recording new material for her third CD, playing regionally around Texas as well as touring, singing backing vocals and playing rhythm guitar for The Eric Hisaw Band.
