On Tuesday 24th February at The Maze we are hosting a Peter Case benefit gig to help raise some money towards Peter's medical fees. Three-times-Grammy-nominated Case, who is best known for writing the Blondie hit, ‘Hanging On The Telephone’, was all set to return to the UK for a series of dates in England and Scotland, when he took seriously ill in America and subsequently underwent double heart by-pass surgery. Now, his fans will get a chance to hear and see his latest protégé ‘Crosby Tyler ’ in action - and in the process help to raise vital cash to help towards his recovery.

One of the last things Peter did before he ended up fighting for his life in a Los Angeles Hospital was to produce Crosby Tyler’s debut album. The pair met at a guitar shop in Santa Monica and Case was immediately struck by the high calibre of the newcomer’s songs. He called on some of the top session players on the scene to help with the recording and the album - "10 Songs of America Today" - has been winning rave reviews since its release here in December. The CD is currently sitting at the number 16 slot on the Euro Americana Chart compiled from monthly returns sent in by music journalists and radio presenters and producers.
